Because there are so many great education blogs, you figure you won't notice when one blinks out for a while...but OLDaily wasn't just any old blog. I depended on it to distill hundreds of sources I couldn't keep up with myself, identifying the really interesting conversations and ideas that deserved to stand out from the flood of information.
Stephen Downes, through OLDaily, was my teacher of web stuff. He was a great teacher and left me able to continue learning despite his absense, but I miss him too.

The void is certainly a daily presence, crystalizing the degree of intellectual impact OLDaily played in my everyday life.
I think he's going to come back in a couple of months and start creating the very first "University OF the Internet". Well, I can hope.
