Planning 10

I occasionally blather on about how school doesn't really prepare kids for real life (financial literacy, career development, wellness, etc). Today I was looking into BC's Planning 10 (PDF) course, which is designed to replace the three high school Career and Personal Planning (CAPP) courses that just got axed. The goals of the course are's the main goal:
"The aim of Planning 10 is
to enable students to develop the skills they need to become self-directed individuals who set goals, make thoughtful decisions, and take responsibility for
pursuing their goals throughout life."
Sounds like a lot to pack into a single course.
